Langford (undisclosed) was waived from the Falcons' injured reserve list Wednesday, per the league's official transaction log.
Analysis: Langford was waived in May with an undisclosed injury and reverted to IR after clearing waivers. After failed stints with the Ravens, Jets and Dolphins since flopping as the Bears' starter in 2015, Langford's future prospects in the NFL aren't great.

Langford (undisclosed) was placed on the waived/injured list by the Falcons on Tuesday per the NFL's Official Transaction page.
Analysis: Langford joined the Falcons from the team's practice squad in Week 17 of the 2018 campaign with Ito Smith (knee) and Devonta Freeman (groin) both on injured reserve, carrying the ball nine times for 25 yards although the running back evidently picked up an injury in the process. He will stay with the team, and it gives the Falcons the flexibility to pick up another player, since Langford doesn't count against the 90-man roster.

Langford ran for 25 yards on nine carries during Sunday's 34-32 win against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: In the finale against Tampa Bay, Langford saw his first regular-season snap since Week 12 of the 2016 season when he was a member of the Bears roster. With Ito Smith (knee) having been placed on injured reserve, Langford was called up from the Falcons practice squad on Dec. 18 before earning 16 of 73 running back snaps during Sunday's contest. Only recently having turned 27 years old, Langford has potential to compete with Brian Hill for the No. 3 job if he can put forth an impressive showing in training camp.

Langford was promoted from the Falcons' practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Falcons were in desperate need of additional depth in the backfield after rookie Ito Smith (knee) recently joined Devonta Freeman (groin) on IR, resulting in a promotion for Langford. The Michigan State product hasn't seen game action since his 2016 campaign with the Bears, but Langford could earn a few touches immediately as he resides behind Tevin Coleman and Brian Hill on the running back depth chart in Atlanta.

Langford may be promoted to the Falcons' 53-man roster in the near future, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Langford signed with Atlanta's practice squad in late November and an opportunity could present itself in the final weeks of the season. Devonta Freeman (groin) isn't expected to return from injured reserve and Ito Smith (knee) is out for the season, leaving the team with only two healthy running backs in Tevin Coleman and Brian Hill.
