Julius Chestnut Active For Week 10

Tennessee Titans running back Julius Chestnut (foot) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He had been listed as questionable after logging a limited practice on Friday. Chestnut saw additional opportunities over the last few weeks with Tyjae Spears (hamstring) inactive. However, now that Spears is healthy, Chestnut will return to the No. 3 running back role in Tennessee, keeping him off the fantasy radar in all leagues.

Julius Chestnut Doesn’t Do Much In Week 9

Tennessee Titans running back Julius Chestnut gained waiver attention heading into Sunday's overtime win over the New England Patriots. However, with Tony Pollard (foot) available, Chestnut wasn't very involved, finishing the day with only 22 yards off five carries. As long as Tyjae Spears (hamstring) stays on the shelf, Chestnut should remain the No. 2 option on the depth chart. Still, he won't see enough action to warrant fantasy consideration as long as Pollard is on the field. This will remain true heading into the Titans Week 10 meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Julius Chestnut Poised For Increased Workload

Tennessee Titans running back Julius Chestnut could be poised for an increased workload on Sunday afternoon against the New England Patriots. With Tyjae Spears (hamstring) already ruled out, Chestnut is expected to open the game as the No.2 option. However, the lead running back Tony Pollard (foot) is listed as questionable which could open the door for Chestnut to start. In addition, Pollard has not practiced this week, which is not a promising sign for his availability. Chestnut has played three seasons with the Titans but has logged only 20 attempts with 61 yards and four catches for 50 yards. If he gets the start, he would be viewed as a low-end flex option, simply off volume.

Julius Chestnut Breaks Off 36-Yard Gain Saturday

Tennessee Titans running back Julius Chestnut rushed five times for nine yards during Saturday's preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers. However, the bulk of his production came in the passing game where he hauled in two of three targets for a total of 37 yards through the air. His best play was a 36-yard pick-up on a short pass from Mason Rudolph in the second quarter. Chestnut has just 12 touches in nine games over the last two years, potentially putting him on the roster bubble ahead of what would be his age-23 season. Regardless of whether he makes the team, Chestnut should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.
