Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker caught five of six targets for 33 yards during Thursday's Week 13 win over the New York Giants. Schoonmaker established himself early in the contest as four of his five catches came within the first 32 minutes of the game. The 26-year-old has been playing quite admirably in the absence of Jake Ferguson (concussion). Over the last three games, he has 14 catches, 144 yards, one touchdown, and 34.4 fantasy points (PPR). Schoonmaker projects to drop off the fantasy radar as soon as Ferguson returns. However, if Ferguson can't play in Week 14, Schoonmaker would remain an intriguing low-end TE1 option.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker is in line to continue his expanded role in Week 13 with Jake Ferguson (concussion) slated to miss another game. Schoonmaker has certainly caught the attention of quarterback Cooper Rush (knee) over the last two weeks. He has caught nine of 14 targets for 111 yards and a touchdown over that span. The Cowboys will host the New York Giants on Thanksgiving in Week 13. The Giants are No. 2 against opposing tight ends in fantasy football in 2024. They just held the red-hot Cade Otton to one reception in Week 12. Schoonmaker's production could be tapped this week. However, Schoonmaker is an important target in an offense devoid of reliable playmakers outside of wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (back/foot). As such, Schoonmaker may be able to produce based on volume alone. Given the volatility at tight end in fantasy football, you could do a lot worse than Schoonmaker this week. He should be in lineups, especially those missing Ferguson.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker grabbed a late 22-yard touchdown reception in the thrilling 34-26 win over the Washington Commanders, his first of the season. The second-year tight end played well in place of Jake Ferguson (concussion), recording three catches for 55 yards on four targets. The Michigan product may start again if Ferguson can't go on a short week against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving.

Dallas Cowboys second-year tight end Luke Schoonmaker is coming off of the most productive game of his career after Jake Ferguson (concussion) left early. Ferguson is trending towards missing Sunday's game against Washington, meaning Schoonmaker will likely again form a committee at tight end with rookie Brevyn Spann-Ford. With CeeDee Lamb (back, foot) also banged up and potentially missing the game, there will be plenty of targets to spread around against a mediocre Washington pass defense. Schoonmaker is a viable option at a thin tight end position amidst a plethora of bye weeks.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker caught six of his 10 targets for 56 yards during Monday's loss to the Houston Texans. While Schoonmaker typically operates as the Cowboys' No. 2 tight end, he was bumped up to the first-team offense early in Monday's game after Jake Ferguson (concussion) was ruled out. The 26-year-old has shown off his ability to step up on offense before, catching six passes for 43 yards when Ferguson was sidelined back in Week 2. If Ferguson's concussion forces him to miss Week 12 against the Washington Commanders, Schoonmaker would temporarily become a fringe top-12 fantasy tight end.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker stepped into the starting lineup this week against the New Orleans Saints, replacing the injured Jake Ferguson (knee), who was ruled out with an MCL sprain. In his first start, Schoonmaker caught six passes for 43 yards, finishing third on the team in targets. While he didn't record a catch over 15 yards, he remained active and posted double-digit fantasy points in PPR leagues. Ferguson is expected to return at some point, but until then, Schoonmaker is a solid option for managers needing tight end help. The 25-year-old can be used as a streamer against the Baltimore Ravens in deep-league formats if Ferguson remains out.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker is expected to start in Week 2 after Jake Ferguson (knee) was listed as doubtful to play. There had been some speculation that Ferguson might not miss any games after injuring himself last week, but it looks like he'll end up being held out for at least one contest. On a positive note, he should be able to avoid an IR stint. Ferguson's short-term absence means that Schoonmaker should see additional volume against the New Orleans Saints. He might not take 100 percent of Ferguson's snaps and targets, but he'll definitely get more looks from Dak Prescott. As a result, his fantasy value is slightly elevated this week. He's a low-end TE2 heading into the clash with New Orleans.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker (groin) was unable to practice on Saturday. It sounds like the second-year tight end is dealing with a minor groin issue. For now, Schoonmaker is considered as day-to-day. The Cowboys might hold him out of practice for a few days until he's back to full health. The expectation is Schoonmaker will be the No. 2 tight end behind Jake Ferguson this season. He finished with eight receptions for 65 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games last season. There probably won't be a ton of fantasy value for Schoonmaker with Ferguson ahead of him on the depth chart.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him out throughout organized team activities. Schoonmaker had shoulder surgery this offseason, but his hamstring injury is what is keeping him off the field this spring. He missed all of his 2023 rookie spring with a foot injury. The Cowboys took Schoonmaker in the second round of last year's draft out of Michigan, and he caught only eight of 15 targets for 65 yards and two touchdowns in 17 regular-season games in 2023 while working in a backup role behind Jake Ferguson. Schoonmaker has had trouble with injuries early in his NFL career, but as long as he's able to get back on the field for training camp this summer, he should have a chance to be ready for Week 1 of the 2024 regular season. Barring an injury to Ferguson, Schoonmaker can be left to the waiver wire in most redraft fantasy leagues.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker (shoulder) had shoulder surgery recently but is "all systems go" for training camp this summer, according to a person familiar with the situation. Schoonmaker played in all 17 regular-season games in his rookie season in 2023 after being taken in the second round out of Michigan, but he didn't do much behind Jake Ferguson, catching only eight of 15 targets for 65 yards and two touchdowns. However, his shoulder injury may have been partially to blame. The 25-year-old could have a bigger role in his sophomore campaign in Dallas, but as long as Ferguson stays healthy, it's hard to envision Schoonmaker being very attractive for fantasy managers on a weekly basis. As long as Ferguson is healthy, Schoonmaker will be a blocker over a receiver.
Mar 26, 2024 10:51 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Luke Schoonmaker ended up as the top fantasy scorer at the position for the team despite not getting as many targets as Jake Ferguson. The rookie caught both of his targets for 23 yards and a score which came in the red zone when he found an open part of the field over the middle. This was his second score of the season and he now has five catches for 37 yards so far this year. He's not very likely to be consistently relevant in fantasy football, so there should be better options in Week 12.

Dallas Cowboys rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker made his first NFL catch in Week 2, scoring his first NFL touchdown in the process. He's only been targeted once through two games, but he made it count, scoring a touchdown in the second quarter of the 30-10 win. Schoonmaker has nice longer term upside, but he has Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot ahead of him on the depth chart for now.
