Returns from COVID list

Carter was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 Wednesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.

Analysis: Carter missed the Jets' Week 16 contest with the Jaguars, but he'll now be able to return to his nickelback role in the Jets' defense Sunday against the Buccaneers. The fifth-round selected rookie has 61 tackles (36 solo), four passes defensed and two fumble recoveries in 13 games.

Carter (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
