Zach Evans A Risky Flex Play

Los Angeles Rams running back Zach Evans is a candidate to lead the backfield in touches with Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee) out in Week 7. The 6th-round rookie has played ahead of and gotten more reps than any other back on the roster this season, however, the Rams may go with a hot-hand approach. Royce Freeman and Darrell Henderson are both candidates to take touches away from Evans. The 22-year-old is most definitely worth a stash but should be avoided until it's clear how the backfield will look. Treat Evans as a low-end RB4/flex in the team's Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Zach Evans Makes Initial Roster

Los Angeles Rams running back Zach Evans appears to have a spot on the 53-man roster. The rookie is one of four backs to make the opening week roster. However, Cam Akers and Kyren Williams appear to have the first two spots on the depth chart locked up. That means, Evans will be competing with Ronnie Rivers for the No. 3 spot in the backfield. That being said, neither back is likely to have much of a role behind Akers and Williams. Evans is worth a stash in dynasty formats due to his potential. The sixth-round back probably won't have a big role right away.

Zach Evans Leads Team In Carries In Preseason Finale

Los Angeles Rams running back Zach Evans did not show many flashes in Saturday's 41-0 loss to the Denver Broncos. The sixth-round rookie back had seven carries for 23 yards while hauling in his lone target for six yards. Cam Akers and Kyren Williams did not play in the preseason, making them the clear top two running backs heading into the season. Ronnie Rivers is also comfortably ahead of Evans. The rookie out of Ole Miss should still make the 53-man roster and will look to climb up the depth chart as the season progresses.

Zach Evans Quiet In Preseason Loss To Raiders

Los Angeles Rams running back Zach Evans did not show much in Saturday's 34-17 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Evans ran for 20 yards on eight carries while catching his lone target for seven yards. Considering the circumstances, this was a good day, but it is worth noting that Evans played behind Ronnie Rivers and Royce Freeman during this game. The sixth-round rookie running back out of Ole Miss showed his efficiency in college and will look to return to that as he is battling for the RB3 spot on the team.
