A.J. Brown Not Seen At Start Of Thursday's Practice

Thursday, January 9, 2:47 PM

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) was not spotted at the start of Thursday's practice ahead of the NFC Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers. The five-time 1,000-yard receiver left Wednesday's practice early, but the team listed him with knee and rest designations. It's unclear what's holding Brown out of practice, but there will surely be more information after Philly wraps up its Thursday session. If Brown cannot play on Sunday, wideout DeVonta Smith, tight end Dallas Goedert, and running back Saquon Barkley should see additional work in the passing game. Quarterback Jalen Hurts (concussion) is back on the practice field for a second straight day and is trending toward being available. Needless to say, anyone participating in NFL playoff fantasy football leagues or DFS contests should stay tuned for updates.

Marquise Brown Best Left On Benches In Week 18

Saturday, January 4, 12:32 PM

It will be hard to trust Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown in fantasy lineups in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday in Denver against the division-rival Denver Broncos, mainly because of the fact that quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) is being rested for the playoffs. Additionally, Hollywood will be facing a top-five defense on the road in a hostile environment while working with backup QB Carson Wentz. Brown will be playing in just his third game of the year after recovering from a shoulder injury that he suffered in the preseason that required surgery. In his two games played, Hollywood has nine catches on 15 targets for 91 yards and no touchdowns. With the Chiefs having nothing to play for with the top seed in the AFC already locked up, Brown could also be at risk of not playing the entire game. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a flex play.
