Alvin Kamara a High-Upside RB2 in Week 1

Saturday, September 6, 10:26 AM

It's no surprise that New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is locked in as the Saints' lead back ahead of Kendre Miller and rookie Devin Neal. Despite coaching changes, offensive line struggles, and shaky quarterback play, Kamara has averaged over 1,440 total yards and 10 touchdowns per season across eight years. The Saints' offense is likely to run through him, with Kamara handling the bulk of carries and seeing heavy involvement in the passing game. At 30, he enters the "dreaded" age for running backs, and it remains to be seen if his production as a pass-catcher will start to decline. With second-year QB Spencer Rattler under center, the offense as a whole is questionable, but Kamara profiles as a high-upside RB2 for Week 1 against the Cardinals.

Marquise Brown in Line for Significant Target Volume in Kansas City?

Tuesday, September 9, 11:35 AM

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown could be in line for a significant target volume going forward, given the current state of the team's wide receiver room. Top wideout Rashee Rice will miss the first six games of the season due to suspension, and WR2 Xavier Worthy (shoulder) is week-to-week after dislocating his shoulder in Kansas City's season opener. Without Worthy and Rice on the field, Brown was targeted sixteen times in Week 1, recording 10 catches for 99 yards. The 28-year-old Brown should be added in all leagues and could be a must-start wide receiver in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles if Worthy is unable to play.
