New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson returned to practice on Wednesday, according to Brian Hines of SBNation. Gibson was dealing with an undisclosed issue, but everything appears to be all good with him health-wise. The 2020 third-round pick had a solid first season in New England in 2024, averaging 4.5 yards per carry and 9 yards per reception. With the addition of 2025 second-round pick TreVeyon Henderson, along with the presence of Rhamondre Stevenson, Gibson will likely be reduced to a backup role behind them.

New York Jets running back Isaiah Davis (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in his team's 30-10 win against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. The 23-year-old mixed in on the first drive with the starters and closed out the first half with running mate Braelon Allen in New York's victory. It's unclear when he picked up the ankle issue, but head coach Aaron Glenn doesn't seem to be too perturbed by it, noting that he and running back Kene Nwangwu's (calf) injuries aren't "thought to be serious." It's significant that Davis got in playing time with the first string offense, as the Jets' deployment of running back touches could be a true committee. That isn't a foregone conclusion, but the current situation is shaping up to be a headache for fantasy managers. Hopefully, that's given more clarity after they meet with the Giants next Saturday.
