Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Ashton Dulin (chest) won't play in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He didn't practice all week, so the latest update shouldn't be surprising to anyone. The 28-year-old hasn't done much this season, totaling three grabs for 66 yards while amassing 15 yards off two carries. With Josh Downs (concussion) also ruled out, there would have been room for Dulin to see extra attention from Daniel Jones. However, the collective absences of Downs and Dulin could now mean more targets for Alec Pierce behind Michael Pittman Jr. And Tyler Warren.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jacob Cowing (hamstring) was placed on the Injured Reserve list on Wednesday, guaranteeing that he will miss at least the first four games of the season. Cowing was battling a hamstring injury for most of training camp and suffered a major setback while trying to return for the team's final preseason game. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided a six-week return timeline for Cowing, making his IR placement an easy decision.
