Who Should I Start? Davante Adams or Darnell Mooney

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams put up his best line of the season with 13 receptions for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 20 targets against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams follows up his massive performance with a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers defense has given up the most passing yards, third-most passing touchdowns, and third-highest yards per attempt. Through three games, Adams has the second-highest targets per route run percentage among wide receivers, with at least 50 routes per Jacob Gibbs. Adams is primed for another big performance on Sunday. Fantasy managers should watch Jimmy Garoppolo's status for the game since the Raiders quarterback is still in the concussion protocol. Garoppolo targeted Adams on 20 of his 44 pass attempts, and the game plan should be the same in a game where the Raiders may need to pass to keep pace with the Chargers offense. If Garoppolo cannot suit up, Adams will have to rely on veteran Brian Hoyer or rookie Aidan O'Connell to throw passes to him. Without Garoppolo, Adams could have a lower ceiling, but he is a locked-and-loaded WR1 regardless of who is behind center.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney (knee) was a full participant during the team's practice on Friday. Mooney was banged up in the Bears loss to the Buccaneers in Week 2 and failed to record a catch in the game. He has been listed as a limited participant all week but all signs point toward Mooney playing this Sunday. The talented receiver posted 53 yards with one touchdown in Week 1 and has shown a solid rapport with quarterback Justin Fields in the past. But the Bears offense has looked terrible through the first two games and Mooney is not fantasy playable at this time.
