Jordan Raanan, NFL Nation reporter for ESPN who covers the New York Giants, reported that Jameis Winston may be the third-string quarterback, but he didn't want to go anywhere at the trade deadline. The plan is for him to be the New York Giants' backup to Jaxson Dart next season. Winston has been floated as a potential trade target for teams in need of a starting quarterback, given his long-standing pedigree and NFL tenure, starting in 87 total games throughout his career. However, Winston is content in New York and wants to stay with them next season to back up young rookie star Jaxson Dart. This would be a move that would be advantageous for the Giants, considering we have seen second-year (Sophomore Slumps) from quarterbacks in the past. Think CJ Stroud of the Houston Texans in 2024. While it's all speculation, it will give the Giants peace of mind knowing their backup quarterback can still sling the ball. Winston has thrown for 24,225 yards, 154 passing touchdowns, and 111 interceptions.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett is in line to make his fourth start of the season, with Kyler Murray (foot) placed on Injured Reserve and his future with the team being in question. Brissett has provided a jolt for the Cardinals' offense since becoming the starter in Week 6, completing 65.8% of his passes for 860 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception while adding 14 carries for 49 yards and another score on the ground. The 32-year-old has averaged 22.8 fantasy points and ranks as QB10 during that span. Brissett has elevated the offense with his ability to work on time and in structure, with Marvin Harrison Jr. recording a career high seven catches in their Week 9 win at the Dallas Cowboys and feeding star tight end Trey McBride targets in the red zone, with him scoring four touchdowns in Brissett's three starts. Brissett faces a tough matchup in Week 10, as they face the division-leading Seattle Seahawks, who allow just a 5.4 net yards per pass attempt this season, the seventh-best mark in the league.
