Javonte Williams Excited About Cowboys' Offense in 2026

Friday, August 14, 8:39 AM

Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams had a career year in his first season in Dallas in 2025, rushing for a career-high 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns to earn a three-year, $24 million contract extension with the team in February. Going into his second season with the Cowboys, Williams is excited about the potential of the offense, according to Tommy Yarrish of the team's official website. "Just a whole other level of maturity," Williams said of Dallas' offense this year. "I feel like we hit the ground running. We didn't really start from the ground up, we just kind of built on what we could've done better last year. I feel like we're executing and communicating well." Personally, Williams said his conditioning is in a better place as he heads into his second year in Dallas and his sixth year in the NFL. In one of the league's highest-scoring offenses, Williams should carry a high fantasy floor as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 in 2026.

Malik Nabers Sheds Non-Contact Jersey, Remains on Track to Play in Week 1

Monday, August 24, 11:38 AM

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) took another meaningful step Monday, shedding the red non-contact jersey and working into both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 periods, according to Connor Hughes. Nabers wasn't a full participant and the Giants practiced without pads, but this was still his first contact-type work since tearing his ACL and meniscus last season. He also made a diving catch coming back to the ball on an intermediate route. Nabers had already returned to full-speed team periods last week while still wearing the red jersey, so Monday moves the recovery forward again. He caught 18 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns in four games before the injury ended his 2025 season. Week 1 has not been formally guaranteed by the team, but Hughes said the outlook continues to look good. With Nabers now taking live reps without the non-contact jersey, he's cleared another important hurdle before the opener.
