Javonte Williams Disappoints In Pristine Matchup

Sunday, October 27, 8:00 PM

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams rushed 17 times for 44 yards in the team's 28-14 victory over the Carolina Panthers. The fourth-year back added eight yards through the air on 4-of-4 receiving. It's a massive letdown for fantasy managers, as Denver controlled most of this game. However, rookie quarterback Bo Nix stole the show -- totaling four TDs (three passing, one rushing) in the lopsided affair. Still, it's a disappointing outing, as Carolina was one of the worst rush defenses in the league heading into the contest. More so, considering teammate Jaleel McLaughlin totaled three more yards on nine fewer carries. Better days are ahead for the former North Carolina Tarheel, though next week may not be one of them. Williams and the Broncos will square off against a stout Ravens defense in Week 9 that allowed the fewest rushing yards per attempt (3.3) to opposing offenses heading into Week 8.

Malik Nabers Has Some Missed Opportunities In Loss

Tuesday, October 29, 1:46 AM

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers was heavily involved in Monday night's 26-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading the team with 13 targets and catching seven passes for 71 yards. Nabers finished with the second-most receiving yards on the Giants, trailing only Darius Slayton's 108, and posted a 10.1-yard average per reception with a long of 16. He was tantalizingly close to an even bigger night, nearly connecting on a few deep balls, dropping a couple of passes, and narrowly missing a touchdown after failing to get his second foot down in the end zone. Despite not scoring, Nabers' 10.6 fantasy points reflect his high volume in the Giants' offense, making him a must-start every week.
