Jaylen Wright Back on Injury Report With Foot Injury

Thursday, October 8, 4:59 PM

Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright (foot) was added to the Week 5 injury report with a foot injury on Thursday and was listed as a limited participant in practice, according to David Furones of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. It remains to be seen if Wright had a setback with a foot injury that caused him to miss the Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but we should have a better idea of his status for this weekend's contest at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Dolphins are already without starter De'Von Achane (knee) for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL, so if Wright cannot play this weekend, Ollie Gordon II should handle a hefty backfield role as the Dolphins look for their first win of the season. Although the 23-year-old Wright only has eight carries for 17 yards and no receptions through three games, he is a worthwhile fantasy handcuff who could eventually have a bigger role alongside Gordon if he can stay healthy. Wright is currently rostered in just under 20% of Yahoo leagues.

Rasheen Ali News

Rasheen Ali Sees No Offensive Work in Week 1

Saturday, September 19, 11:38 AM

Baltimore Ravens running back Rasheen Ali was active in Week 1, but he never saw the field on offense. Ali played 14 special-teams snaps in the 41-23 win over Indianapolis and did not record a touch. Derrick Henry handled 24 carries, while Justice Hill worked as the clear second back with six carries and one reception. That left nothing for Ali behind them. Baltimore still lists him third on the running back depth chart, and his special-teams standing has slipped too. Ali entered Week 1 as the Ravens' top kick returner, but LaJohntay Wester is now listed first with Ali second. None of that points to a growing fantasy role. Ali remains useful depth for Baltimore, but Week 1 showed a wide gap between him and the two backs ahead of him. Until he gets offensive snaps, there is very little here for fantasy managers to chase.
