The Cincinnati Bengals are releasing wide receiver Jermaine Burton on Monday, according to head coach Zac Taylor. Burton's release comes after he was suspended for Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 14. It's unclear exactly why the Bengals suspended the 24-year-old, but it was most likely a disciplinary measure. The former third-rounder in 2024 out of Alabama came out of college with questions about his maturity, and they have followed him to the NFL. Burton has not played at all in 2025 after catching just four of 14 targets for 107 yards and no touchdowns in 14 games (one start) in 2024 in his first NFL season. He will now head to waivers and will get a fresh start elsewhere.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jake Bobo (head) suffered a concussion in Saturday's preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers, but he's in "good spirits," head coach Mike Macdonald said. Bobo had to leave the Seahawks' 20-7 loss early after he collided with teammate Tyler Hall on a punt return. He finished the game with one catch for 12 yards and wrapped up his preseason with five receptions for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns. While the 27-year-old combined for just 32 catches for 303 yards and three scores in his first two seasons, he has been a valuable contributor on special teams.
