Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was asked to do a lot against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, completing 28-of-44 passes for 324 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions, adding 7 yards on the ground. The 26-year-old looked for Davante Adams early and often, targeting him 19 times and connecting on two touchdowns. Garoppolo left the game briefly in the second quarter after getting bent backward on a sack before returning for the second half. The Raiders offense showed some signs of life this week that they will hope to build on in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced on Monday that quarterback Joshua Dobbs will make another start under center in Week 2 against the New York Giants. Dobbs wasn't good at all in the season opener on Sunday in a 20-16 loss to the Washington Commanders, going 21-for-30 for 132 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He carried the ball three times for a loss of three yards and also fumbled three times, losing two of them. It was just the 28-year-old's third NFL start, though, and it came against a pretty tough defense. Dobbs will have the opportunity to bounce back this weekend against a Giants D that just allowed 40 points to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. Still, Dobbs should be viewed as only a desperation QB2 play in deep superflex leagues.
