Joe Mixon Looks To Remain Involved In Week 4

Friday, September 29, 11:56 PM

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon didn't do much in the first two weeks of the 2023-24 campaign. But in Week 3 versus the Los Angeles Rams, he scored his first touchdown of the year. While the former Oklahoma Sooner still hasn't surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark this season, his performance on Monday was a step in the right direction. Mixon will look to keep fantasy managers happy in Week 4 against Tennessee. On paper, the Titans defense has allowed only 156 rushing yards to opposing running backs all year. However, that number is somewhat misleading, considering Tennessee played the Saints, Chargers, and Browns, who were all without their top running backs. If Joe Burrow (calf) can keep the Tennessee defense on its toes by connecting with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd, Mixon should get the breathing room needed to be productive in Week 4.

Elijah Mitchell Listed As Questionable For Week 4

Friday, September 29, 6:27 PM

San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals. The third-year running back injured his knee during Thursday's practice and missed Friday's session as a result. Mitchell has logged 16 carries for 52 yards and has caught 3-of-4 targets for just two yards while spelling starting RB Christian McCaffrey across two games this year (Weeks 1 & 3). He did not log a snap in Week 2. If he is unable to suit up for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Cardinals then Jordan Mason would likely fill in as McCaffrey's backup, although that role does not lend itself to much fantasy value. We will hear more about Mitchell's status on Sunday morning.
