Denver Broncos running back Jonah Coleman (ankle) is a top stash option heading into the middle portion of the 2026 season. Coleman is currently on injured reserve after injuring his ankle in Week 2, but he'll be eligible to return as early as the Broncos' Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs on November 1st. The rookie opened the year in the No. 3 running back role, but he wasted no time making a positive impression. In just his second game, Coleman totaled 39 rushing yards, three catches, 19 receiving yards, and a touchdown. Not only is there clearly a path to fantasy relevance for Coleman when he's healthy, but his productivity could also allow him to push for more opportunities than JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey, who haven't exactly blown us away this year. At the very least, Coleman is a solid stash for fantasy managers looking to add some upside to their running back room around midseason, as he could flourish into a weekly RB3/flex option.

Indianapolis Colts running back Seth McGowan has emerged as one of the more appealing handcuff stashes in fantasy football, with a clear path to increased opportunities if Jonathan Taylor misses time. The 6-foot, 223-pound rookie has established himself as Indianapolis' primary backup, while DJ Giddens has yet to play an offensive snap this season. McGowan has recorded 17 carries for 61 yards and three receptions for 10 yards through five games, including five rushes for 16 yards and one catch for three yards in Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played 26.1% of the offensive snaps in that contest after reaching a season-high 29% in Week 4. Taylor continues to dominate the backfield, playing 82.2% of Indianapolis' offensive snaps through five games, leaving McGowan with little standalone fantasy value. However, the rookie's size, established position on the depth chart, and limited competition behind him make him an attractive insurance option. Taylor managers should strongly consider rostering McGowan, while those in deeper leagues can justify stashing him before an injury potentially sends his waiver value soaring.
