Josh Jacobs Puts Up Strong Performance In Loss

Sunday, October 1, 7:22 PM

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had his best game of the season, rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Jacobs' rushing yardage was his second-most of the year, and he was also heavily involved in the passing game. With Jimmy Garoppolo out with a concussion, the Raiders started rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell. O'Connell targeted Jacobs 11 times for eight receptions and 81 yards. Seeing Jacobs and the Raiders finally get the run game moving was encouraging. Despite his eight catches, Jacobs still has zero career receiving touchdowns. The Raiders running back has a Week 5 matchup with the Green Bay Packers, who just gave up 121 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns to David Montgomery. Fantasy managers should feel confident starting Jacobs as a low-end RB1 in their lineups moving forward.

Khalil Herbert Goes Off In Week 4

Sunday, October 1, 9:36 PM

Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert made easy work of the Denver Broncos defense in Week 4. Before the game, the expectation was that Roschon Johnson was going to see a majority of the carries. However, that wasn't the case during Sunday's contest. Herbert rushed 18 times for 103 yards, while hauling in four receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown in the loss. This was an odd outburst in usage for Herbert who saw only 14 carries combined during the past two games. It remains to be seen what kind of role he'll have in the Week 5 matchup against the Washington Commanders. Herbert will be a low-end flex option for that contest.
