Logan Thomas Won't Play In Week 3

Friday, September 22, 1:29 PM

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (concussion) did not clear the league's concussion protocol and will not play in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The oft-injured Thomas made it just two games before picking up another injury, and he'll miss his first game of the 2023 campaign. The 32-year-old will need to clear the concussion protocol next week in order to have a shot at returning in a Week 4 contest on the road in Philadelphia against the Eagles. With Thomas out this Sunday against Buffalo, expect both John Bates and Cole Turner to see expanded roles in the passing game, but neither of them should warrant serious consideration as streaming options at the tight end position.

Dallas Goedert News

Dallas Goedert Catches Five Passes In Week 3

Monday, September 25, 11:04 PM

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert caught five of seven targets for 41 yards during the team's 25-11 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his best performance of the season to date, the 28-year-old has seen seven targets each of the past two games but has been unable to do much with them. Goedert ended up ranking second in targets on the night but gave fantasy managers another frustratingly low fantasy performance. Better days are surely ahead for the Eagles' tight end if he can continue to see a high target share, but he has a stiff matchup against Washington next week, who give up the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position.
