After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford said he would "take some time to think about it" when asked about his future. When asked about whether he has football left in him, Stafford said, "Sure feels like it." The 36-year-old nearly led the Rams to an improbable come-from-behind win in a blizzard in Philly, throwing for a season-high 324 yards and two touchdowns while also losing a fumble. He has two years left on his current deal. Stafford has 15 passing touchdowns in the playoffs for LA, tying Kurt Warner for the most in team history. Stafford finished the regular season as the QB19 in overall fantasy points with 3,762 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. If he returns in 2025, his lack of rushing ability limits his fantasy upside as a QB2.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac writes that in all likelihood, the Pittsburgh Steelers will start the 2025 season with a new starting quarterback, and he thinks that Justin Fields will be given the job. It's the third time in the last four years that the Steelers head into the offseason with uncertainty at the most important position. Both Fields and Russell Wilson will be free agents, and it's highly unlikely the Steelers will bring them both back. With the way the season ended with five straight losses and a disconnect with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, Dulac believes the Steelers will let Wilson walk. Fields, meanwhile, is only 25 and showed improvement in his 10 games played (six starts), completing a career-high 65.8% of his passes for 1,106 yards, five TDs and one interception while adding 289 rushing yards and five more scores.
