Ollie Gordon II Playing Very Limited Role

Friday, December 5, 7:27 PM

Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II has been relegated to a minimal role recently, as the team gives more work to De'Von Achane. Gordon has gotten three carries or fewer in three of his last four games, and he only got 10 yards on his three carries against the Saints last week. He played 27% of snaps while Jaylen Wright played 10% of snaps and also had three carries, finishing with 16 yards. The rookie has shown a few glimpses of upside and scored a couple of touchdowns, but his role is so limited behind Achane that he is only a desperation play this week against the Jets. The Jets have been a great matchup for running backs this season, and especially recently, but it's uncertain if Gordon will get much work in Week 14. He's only the No. 48 RB in RotoBaller's rankings this week, so he can be left on the bench or waiver wire in most formats.

Robbie Ouzts Being Converted To Fullback

Sunday, May 4, 1:08 PM

The Seattle Seahawks are converting rookie fifth-round tight end Robbie Ouzts to a 274-pound fullback as part of their vision for a more physical running game under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. Ouzts will be competing with Brady Russell, who is also making the transition from tight end to fullback this offseason. He worked mostly as a blocker during his four-year college career at Alabama, so it should be a pretty natural transition for Ouzts in Seattle. Ouzts obviously won't be on the fantasy radar at all as a blocker if he's on the field regularly, but this news is good news for the Seahawks' ground attack and starting running back Kenneth Walker III and backup Zach Charbonnet. In 17 games last year, Seattle averaged just 95.7 rushing yards per game, which ranked as the fifth-fewest in the NFL.
