Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said the team is "optimistic" about getting wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) back for their Week 6 tilt against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. Fantasy managers have to be happy with this news, but they shouldn't get their hopes up that Scary Terry will be back this week after missing the last two games with a pretty serious quad injury that led him to seek multiple medical opinions. Quinn said the team will know more later in the week about McLaurin's status for next Monday night. The Commanders will officially resume practicing on Thursday, so fantasy managers will want to check back then to see if he's back on the practice field. When McLaurin returns, he and Deebo Samuel Sr. should dominate pass-game targets from quarterback Jayden Daniels.

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson caught six of his 10 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Wilson remains Justin Fields' preferred target in the passing game and ranks in the WR2 tier as a result, but his Week 5 fantasy performance was admittedly inflated by a garbage-time touchdown. The former Ohio State product found the end zone with New York trailing by three possessions and just 2:49 left on the clock. Of course, fantasy managers don't care how or when players produce, as the results are the same either way. New York should continue to play from behind for most of this season, leaving ample opportunities for Wilson to boost his stats and reward fantasy managers as a mid-to-low WR2.
