Eagles Elevate Zach Ertz to 53-Man Roster for Week 5

The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated tight end Zach Ertz from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's Week 5 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Zach Berman of The Athletic. This is the third week in a row that Ertz is being elevated from the practice squad for game day. Over his last two games, he has six targets, three catches, and 22 receiving yards. He's been a solid depth target for Jalen Hurts, but those numbers aren't nearly enough to get him on the fantasy radar. Additionally, tight end Dallas Goedert is returning from a two-week absence on Sunday, and with Goedert, Johnny Mundt, and E.J. Jenkins all in the tight end room, we don't even know if Ertz is a lock to suit up. The veteran tight end can be left on waivers in all fantasy football leagues.

Before a Week 7 bye, Meyers saw 10 targets in a narrow loss to the Texans, his highest total since the mid-season trade that landed him in Jacksonville in 2025, while his 83 receiving yards were his second-most as a Jaguar. Fourth-year player Parker Washington has emerged as the star of Jacksonville's passing offense, but Meyers remains one of the most consistent complementary pieces in the NFL, and he is RotoBaller's WR40 ahead of a Week 8 divisional matchup with the Colts.
