Zay Jones Ruled Out For Sunday Against Houston

Friday, September 22, 6:20 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Houston Texans. The 28-year-old wide receiver hurt his knee during Week 2 and didn't log a practice this week as a result. Jones looked sharp in Week 1, snagging five catches (seven targets) for 55 yards and a score but didn't log a reception in Week 2. His absence should lead to target increases for receivers Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, and tight end Evan Engram. Jamal Agnew will most likely mix in during three wide receiver sets. Fantasy managers who were hoping Jones would suit up on Sunday need to look elsewhere now.

Gabe Davis Manifests Boom-Or-Bust Self In Sunday’s Romp

Monday, September 25, 12:33 AM

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis caught 1-of-4 targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in Week 3's 37-3 rout of the Washington Commanders. The 24-year-old reeled in a 35-yard strike courtesy of Josh Allen to score the game's first touchdown, but disappeared in the box score the rest of the way. Davis' volatile tendencies saw him commit a rough third-quarter drop, but it didn't ultimately swing momentum in Washington's favor. Davis' field-stretching aptitude really wasn't needed for the majority of Sunday's outing with the Commanders unable to put up much of a fight offensively. Fantasy managers will be satisfied with the score, but Davis remains a perpetual boom-or-bust WR3/FLEX ahead of a highly-anticipated Week 4 duel with the division-rival Miami Dolphins.
