Stephen Anderson TE (NE)

Stephen Anderson Joins Patriots' practice squad: The Patriots have signed Anderson to their practice squad.

What it means: Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com,Anderson, who had been dealing with an undisclosed injury, was at practice Sunday, signifying that health didn't play a part in his being let go during roster cut-downs. With Ben Watson suspended for the first four games of the season and Lance Kendricks also slated to serve a one game ban out of the gate, the Patriots are poised to roll with Matt LaCosse and Ryan Izzo in Week 1. For now, Anderson provides the team with some in-house depth at the position.

Anderson isn't currently being drafted in fantasy drafts right now.

Trey Edmunds TE (PIT)

Trey Edmunds Joins practice squad: Edmunds has returned to the Pittsburgh practice squad, according to Triblive.com writer Chris Adamski.

Fantasy impact: A member of the practice squad most of last season, Edmunds played in just four game and exclusively on special teams. It is fair to expect a repeat of that this season resulting in his having virtually no fantasy value.

Edmunds isn't currently being drafted in fantasy drafts right now.

Trey Burton TE (CHI)

Trey Burton Not spotted at practice Sunday: Burton (sports hernia) was not present for the media-access portion of Sunday's practice, Adam Hoge of WGN Radio 720 AM Chicago reports.

What it means: Burton's Week 1 status is thus worth monitoring in advance of Thursday's season opener against the Packers. When Burton missed practice during training camp, his absence was portrayed as precautionary, but Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune suggests that the tight end may not be a lock to play in Week 1. We'll look for added clarity on his situation as soon as Monday, that is if coach Matt Nagy chooses to address the situation with the media. Adam Shaheen is next in line for the Bears' tight end snaps should Burton miss any time.

Up until now, Trey Burton has been drafted at the 14.02 in PPR leagues.

Keep an eye out on his value going forward.

Jason Croom TE (BUF)

Jason Croom Placed on IR: Croom has been placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

What it means: Croom could never get fully healthy this summer and by the time he was even close, two rookies had passed him on the depth chart. This allows the Bills to keep him in the mix until next season, unless he pushes for an injury settlement with the team once healthy.

Croom isn't currently being drafted in fantasy drafts right now.

Tyler Kroft TE (BUF)

Tyler Kroft Early-season status unclear: Though Kroft (foot) was not placed on the Bills' PUP list to start the coming season, it's unclear when he'll make his first game appearance, Nate Mendelson of the team's official site reports. "I don't know which game he's going to come back yet, that's still undetermined," GM Brandon Beane noted.

What it means: With Kroft on the mend, it remains to be see how his practice participation level is classified leading up to Week 1. Given the lengthy layoff the tight end has endured, he's far from a lock to be made active for the Bills' season opener. Added clarity on that front could arrive as soon as Wednesday, upon the release of the team's first injury report of the season.

Kroft isn't currently being drafted in fantasy drafts right now.
