Hundley signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals on Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Hundley operated as the team's backup behind Kyler Murray in 2019, seeing most of his action in Week 16 when Murray exited with a hamstring injury. The 26-year-old completed five of 11 passes for 49 yards and rushed seven times for 41 yards in three appearances during the 2019 season. Hundley will likely operate as the team's backup again for the 2020 campaign.

Analysis: Hundley received most of his work Week 16 when Kyler Murray exited with a hamstring injury, but otherwise the latter led the Cardinals offense for the vast majority of his rookie campaign. An upcoming unrestricted free agent, Hundley likely is poised for a backup role, at best, wherever he lands this offseason.
Brett Hundley is preparing for the possibility of replacing Kyler Murray (hamstring) as the Cardinals' starting quarterback Sunday against the Rams, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: A limited practice participant throughout the week, Murray is listed as questionable and considered to be a game-day decision. The Cardinals seem to be preparing for their starter to miss the regular-season finale, with Hundley getting most of the practice reps and Drew Anderson promoted from the practice squad. A road matchup with the Rams doesn't look great on paper, but there's been some talk of coach Sean McVay resting key players or at least limiting their snaps.
Hundley entered Sunday's 27-13 win over the Seahawks midway through the third quarter after Kyler Murray left with a strained hamstring, finishing the afternoon by completing four of nine passes for 49 yards and adding 35 rushing yards on six carries.
Analysis: The Cards' backup QB wasn't particularly effective, but with Kenyan Drake having another big day on the ground, the team didn't need much offense from its passing game. Given that Arizona is long out of playoff contention, it wouldn't be a surprise if Murray gets shut down for Week 17 and Hundley -- who had seen only three snaps all year coming into Sunday -- gets the start against the Rams.
Hundley is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Cardinals, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Hundley didn't see the field for a single snap while backing up Russell Wilson in 2018. He'll figure to compete for a backup role behind starting quarterback Josh Rosen while in Arizona.
Hundley didn't record an offensive snap in 2018.
Analysis: The Seahawks sent a sixth-round pick to Green Bay in exchange for Hundley in August, but he wasn't needed as Russell Wilson played every game for the seventh straight season. Hundley will become an unrestricted free agent in March and projects as a serviceable backup quarterback wherever he lands.
The Packers are trading Hundley to the Seahawks for a 2019 fdraft pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The trade leaves DeShone Kizer as the unquestioned No. 2 quarterback in Green Bay, while the Seahawks now have a cloudy backup situation involving Hundley, Austin Davis and Alex McGough. A 2015 fifth-round pick, Hundley finally got extended playing time last season and failed to take advantage of the opportunity. He did average 7.5 yards on 36 rush attempts, but his impact on the ground was negated by a mark of 5.8 yards per pass attempt and a 9:12 TD:INT ratio.
Hundley went 8-for-14 passing for 78 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions during Friday's preseason game against the Raiders.
Analysis: Hundley guided the de facto first-team offense for the Packers with Aaron Rodgers sitting out, suggesting that he's still considered the team's top backup option despite the offseason addition of Deshone Kizer. Despite not throwing for a touchdown, Hundley still outplayed Kizer on the night, potentially cementing him as the top backup with one week remaining in the preseason. Either way, it would be surprising if the Packers didn't hold on to three quarterbacks through roster cuts.
Hundley completed six of nine passes for 77 yards and had two carries for 12 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.
Analysis: Hundley was the first quarterback to see action after Aaron Rodgers led the first drive, and he was effective while playing three series, leading the Packers to points on each occasion. Hundley and fellow reserve quarterback DeShone Kizer have both played well during the preseason and continue to compete for the backup spot behind Rodgers.
Hundley started Thursday's preseason opener and completed 9-of-14 passes for 108 yards. He tossed a touchdown and also threw an interception in the contest.
Analysis: With Aaron Rodgers being held out, Hundley got the nod over fellow quarterback DeShone Kizer, and it was a successful night outside of the interception and a fumble, which the Packers recovered. Hundley made several quality throws, including a perfect 48-yard bomb to Davante Adams to set up the Packers' first score of the night. Kizer played well, too, and the two remain essentially neck-and-neck to open the season in the backup spot, with Hundley holding the slight edge given his experience in the Packers' system.
Hundley is expected to start Thursday's preseason contest versus the Titans, Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
Analysis: Just as he did nine times for an absent Aaron Rodgers last season, Hundley will be under center from the outset Thursday. During those outings, Hundley managed to complete 61.4 percent of his passes for 186.6 yards per game and eight touchdowns versus nine interceptions. A lack of experience showed with inconsistency from week to week. While he directed the Packers to a trio of victories and nearly a fourth again the Steelers in Week 12, he was also shut out by the Ravens and Vikings. In the offseason, the Packers traded for 2017 second-round selection DeShone Kizer, but the coaching staff's familiarity with Hundley likely gives him the upper hand in the battle for the No. 2 job.
