Williams (foot) is on the PUP list for the start of training camp, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Analysis: Coming back from November foot surgery, Williams was kept off the practice field during the offseason program and still isn't ready at the start of training camp. The 2019 UDFA has caught 50 passes, including seven TDs, through 16 NFL games, but both of his seasons came to an early end on account of major injuries (it was a torn ACL in 2019). Now 24 and entering his third pro season, Williams faces tougher competition for playing time after the Dolphins added Will Fuller (suspension) and sixth overall pick Jaylen Waddle to their WR group this offseason. Williams now projects as the fourth or fifth receiver, but even that could be in danger if he doesn't get back on the practice field soon, considering Miami also has Albert Wilson, Jakeem Grant, Lynn Bowden and Allen Hurns among its depth options at WR.
