Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson (ankle) suffered a low ankle sprain during Sunday's Week 8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Ferguson injured his ankle on Dallas' opening offensive possession and was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the contest, finishing without a reception or target. With Luke Schoonmaker (groin) inactive, Brevyn Spann-Ford and James Mitchell handled the remaining tight end duties. Fowler did not provide a recovery timetable, leaving Ferguson's availability uncertain for next Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

As expected, Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (chest) is active on Sunday in the Week 8 tilt against the visiting Baltimore Ravens, per the NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. In addition to Kincaid playing through a minor chest injury, quarterback Josh Allen will get top receiver DJ Moore back from a shoulder injury that he originally suffered in the Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions. Now that the 27-year-old Kincaid is officially active this weekend, fantasy managers should consider him at least a low-end TE1 option against Baltimore. Kincaid suffered his chest injury in the Week 6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, but he is ready to go after having extra time to recover thanks to Buffalo's bye in Week 7. The former first-rounder will look to get back on track against a vulnerable Baltimore defense after catching just nine passes on 12 targets for 52 yards and no touchdowns in his last three games. In the first two games of the 2026 campaign, Dalton was looking like a true TE breakout with 12 catches for 225 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets.
