Off the Injury Report, Josh Jacobs is a Locked-In RB1 Against Bears

Friday, December 5, 4:20 PM

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (knee) is off the injury report following a full practice session on Friday, and he'll be good to go for the Packers' Week 14 matchup with the Chicago Bears. Jacobs has been an awesome fantasy option this season, but last week was one of his least-productive fantasy outings with just 10.1 fantasy points. Week 13 marks just the second game in which Jacobs played the full game and didn't get in the end zone. That's how seemingly automatic Jacobs has been this season, and as the engine of the Packers' offense, Jacobs should be in a good position to do well against a middle-of-the-road Bears' run defense. Jacobs is a locked-in RB1 fantasy option in Week 14.

Jordan Mason Resorted to Backup Duties

Saturday, December 6, 12:41 AM

Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason has been working firmly behind Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder) in the team's backfield over the past month. Since Jones returned in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers, Mason has played 37.1% of the snaps to Jones' 56.5%. Over that span, Jones has handled 71 total touches, while Mason has 42. The former San Francisco 49er has at least earned extra work closer to the end zone, handling seven carries compared to Jones with only four, and they've each found the end zone once. Jones was removed from the injury report on Friday and will suit up against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Minnesota's weapons have been limited recently by the poor combination of QBs J.J. McCarthy and Max Brosmer, with all of them being tough to trust for fantasy purposes right now. The gauntlet of tough defenses faced in recent games hasn't helped, but it should get better in Week 14 against a banged-up Commanders unit Mason projects as a low-end RB3 for Sunday in a more favorable matchup.
