Justin Watson News

Justin Watson Won't Play Against Patriots

Friday, January 16, 4:23 PM

Houston Texans wide receiver Justin Watson (concussion) didn't practice all week and has officially been ruled out for Sunday's Divisional Round game against the New England Patriots. Watson suffered a concussion in Monday night's Wild-Card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. If the Texans advance to the AFC Championship next weekend, Watson won't be guaranteed to be ready to return. In addition to Watson being out, the Texans will also be without top receiver Nico Collins, who also suffered a concussion on Monday against the Steelers. Rookie Jayden Higgins and Christian Kirk, who had 144 receiving yards on Monday, should be the team's top two receivers, with rookie Jaylin Noel and Xavier Hutchinson also having elevated roles on offense.

David Bell News

David Bell Hangs Up his Cleats

Tuesday, October 14, 7:08 PM

Cleveland Browns wide receiver David Bell (hip) announced on his X account on Tuesday that he is retiring from professional football. Bell will call it quits after suffering an off-the-field hip injury that put him on the Non-Football Injury list entering the 2025 season. The 24-year-old was a third-round selection by the Browns in the 2022 NFL draft out of Purdue. He never ended up being much of an asset for the Browns' passing game in his three seasons in the NFL, and his best showing came in his rookie campaign when he caught 24 of his 35 targets for 214 yards and no touchdowns in 16 games (three starts) in 2022. Bell will finish his short NFL career with 41 receptions, 408 receiving yards, and three touchdowns (all in 2023) in 32 games played (six starts).
