Kickers don't tend to thrive against the Washington Commanders, because the defense has either been very good or very bad while their offense has limited turnovers. The Ravens are likely to move the ball down the field, but it may result in more extra points rather than field goal attempts. There are better kicking options out there right now until Tucker can show some more consistency.

The historically accurate, Texas product has only posted one week in K1 territory so far and has finished K17 or worse in the other three weeks. It's not due to his offense being unable to move the ball as they've scored 20 or more points in each game. He's only making 62.5% of his field goal attempts and has missed both of his 50-yard attempts. The Cincinnati Bengals are only allowing nine fantasy points per game to opposing kickers while Tucker only averages seven. There are better options out there until Tucker gets back on track.

The star kicker clocks in as the K18 to start the season and has already missed three of his eight field goal attempts so far. Week 3 didn't do him any favors as he missed his lone field goal attempt and made four extra points. His Week 4 opponent, the Buffalo Bills, are one of the tougher teams in the early part of this season as they've allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing kickers. The opposing kickers are only averaging 5.7 fantasy points against them right now, and if Tucker continues to miss field goals that he used to make, John Harbaugh and company may start going for it on fourth down more often. Fantasy managers will want to proceed with caution when it comes to starting Tucker this week.

The Ravens offense should be able to move the ball against the Raiders and Tucker returns to home field where he's made 88.8% of his field goals throughout his career. He should see plenty of opportunities for both field goals and extra points in this contest. The worry about Tucker falling from fantasy grace shouldn't kick in unless he strings together multiple bust weeks in a row. So, for now, managers can consider him a mid-to-high-level kicking option in Week 2.

The Baltimore Ravens restructured the contract of All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker on Tuesday, in addition to defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and linebacker Roquan Smith, to create $9.3 million in salary cap space for the 2024 season. The move gives the Ravens more roster flexibility as they compete to get past the hump and to the Super Bowl this year. Believe it or not, Tucker wasn't the most valuable fantasy kicker in 2023; it was the Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey. Tucker missed five of his 37 field-goal attempts last year and one of his 52 extra-point tries, but he still managed to finish as the No. 2 fantasy kicker despite what was a down year for his standards. Nobody is panicking, though. The 34-year-old veteran still has an NFL-record 90.2% success rate and should remain one of the top fantasy kickers again in 2024 in a strong offense in Baltimore.

He was able to make all eight of his extra-point attempts. That was his first game without attempting a single field goal since Week 4 and just the second one of the season. In Week 18, the offense is going to be a shell of itself while plenty of the starters get a well-deserved rest week after locking up the first seed in the AFC. This also means that Tucker should get plenty of opportunities when the offense inevitably stalls against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that is fighting for its playoff hopes.

If they stall out in the red zone like they did against Tennessee, then he could see another big-time performance. The future Hall of Famer knocked through all six of his field goal attempts and missed had his only extra point attempt blocked. Even though five of the six were less than 40 yards away, he still flashed his unmatched consistency. In Week 7, the Ravens take on the Lions who have an even better defense than the Titans. If the offense can't move the ball across the goal line like they were unable to in London, then another big game is on the way from Tucker. He should be a top option yet again in Week 7.

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has had a very underwhelming outcome in each of the last few weeks. Through five weeks, he's the 29th-ranked kicker in fantasy. The silver lining, this week, is that the Titans give up an average of almost 10 points to opposing kickers. There's only been one game in which they haven't given up multiple field goals. The Ravens offense is good enough to move the ball into field goal range, but the question is whether or not they'll be able to find the end zone. Tucker deserves one more shot to bounce back but could become matchup-based if he fails to deliver this week.
