Ryan Succop: Busy on extra points in win

Succop did not log any field-goal attempts and converted six of seven extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 48-25 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Analysis: Through two games, the extreme efficiency of the Buccaneers' offense -- and in the case of Sunday, the defense's ability to also put the ball in the end zone off pick-sixes -- has worked against Succop's fantasy utility, with the veteran attempting just one field goal thus far, a Week 1 game-winning kick. Going into the season, there was a reasonable chance Succop's chances of putting three points on the board would dry up a notable amount in 2021, considering that Tom Brady working with a full season and postseason of experience in an aggressive downfield passing scheme was bound to lead to plenty of touchdowns. Nevertheless, there will still be weeks where Succop is called on for multiple field-goal attempts, and one such instance could certainly come as soon as a Week 3 road showdown versus a stingy Rams defense.
