Kenneth Walker III News

Kenneth Walker III Signing With the Chiefs

Monday, March 9, 8:43 AM

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III is signing a three-year, $45 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, sources told Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. It's about the best possible landing spot for Walker, who was named Super Bowl LX MVP last month. The Chiefs were in desperate need of backfield help with both Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt hitting free agency this week. The 25-year-old Walker will help stabilize KC's backfield as they look to get back to the postseason in 2026. Walker had 1,027 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns on 221 carries in 17 regular-season starts last year, adding 31 receptions for 282 yards through the air. Seattle paired Walker with Zach Charbonnet (knee) to keep him healthy for a full season for the first time in his career. Walker added 313 rushing yards and four TDs in three postseason games to raise his price in free agency even more. Now in KC, Walker will have plenty of upside as a high-end RB2/low-end RB1 in fantasy.

Ashton Jeanty News

Ashton Jeanty Not in Line for Workhorse Role in 2026?

Thursday, February 26, 9:27 AM

Las Vegas Raiders new head coach Klint Kubiak plans to use a committee backfield in his first year at the helm in 2026, saying that "it's important for Ashton Jeanty to have a wingman." "We definitely want to have a two-man show," Kubiak added. It's bad news for Jeanty's already declining fantasy football value after a disappointing showing in his rookie season. Kubiak split the load at RB last year with the Seattle Seahawks, too, using Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet in tandem on the way to a Super Bowl championship. Jeanty, the sixth overall pick last April out of Boise State, averaged just 3.7 yards per carry for 975 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 266 carries in 17 regular season games in a bad Raiders offense. The 22-year-old should have a better supporting cast around him, with the team expected to take Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza first overall, but a backfield timeshare in Vegas will surely cap Jeanty's fantasy upside going into Year 2.
