With the absence of Woodhead, Welker, and Hernandez on the New England offense, running back Shane Vereen may take a more prominent role in the 2013 season. As a result, his ADP has been climbing in recent weeks:
Of course, the Pats will still rely heavily on Stevan Ridley, but Vereen has a real opportunity to contribute as running back, and possibly even as a wide receiver.
It's hard to say whether Vereen's performance in the 2012 AFC Division Playoff was a fluke or a glimpse of things to come. But one thing is for sure, the Patriots are a much different offense this year and it's shaping up to be a detrimental to Tom Brady's value:
