Chicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman will be make his regular season debut as a new member of the Bears Week 1 against the Packers. The free agent signing is coming off a season with the Panthers where he rushed for 914 yards, including five 100-yard performances. Foreman will be looking to replace the production from since-departed running back David Montgomery but teammate Khalil Herbert is pegged to receive the first crack at the lion's share of the carries. Foreman is certainly worth a bench stash in deeper leagues but will be a very risky fantasy start in Week 1.

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is healthy enough to pass a physical to return from the PUP list today, per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. However, due to the terms of the PUP list, Taylor can't be activated until after Week 4, giving the Colts four weeks to evaluate their options. Rapoport notes that trading Taylor remains a very real outcome, and he added that the Dolphins represent a possible landing spot. He also writes that there is "a chance slim, but possible" that Taylor returns to play for Indianapolis. The entire situation is worth monitoring as the 2023 season gets underway on Sunday. For the time being, the Colts will operate with a backfield featuring Deon Jackson, Evan Hull, and Zack Moss (arm).
